Chips & Cracks need not be an eyesore or source of perpetual frustration.  MARBLELIFE can custom blend a color matchable epoxy compound to match either the marble, travertine or limestone's background or vein colors.  This two part compound sets in less than 30 minutes with sufficient strength to allow the repair to be honed flat to the marble tile or stone slab surface.  Once level, the repair is re-polished to match the stone finish. 

The resulting repair blends beautifully with the rest of the stone floor.  Unless you know the where the repair was done your visitors will not know the stone had previously been damaged.  Dark Shadowed chips and cracks now blend with the rest of the floor.

Believe it or not - it is easier to fix a broken piece than a chipped edge.  While we can blend and re-assemble, the placement of the damage will have an impact on the repair longevity.  A crack or chip repair should last the life of the surface, provided it is properly maintained.  However a chip along a counter top edge can prove more difficult.  It is not the shaping, blending or repairing, but the fact that the repair requires some depth in order to have sufficient area to grab and hold onto.  An edge repair can be done therefore by drilling an anchor hole into the counter, however when working with a natural product such as marble or granite the risk of cracking the top is a real concern.  This process is done routinely as fabricators salvage a damaged slab as an alternative to scrapping it, but is not done routinely in the field where the outcome could result in a catastrophic crack of a counter.  That said, edge repairs are still done, but may pop out over time and require a second visit.
