Water has sufficient tension that it will sit on top of the marble or granite pores instead of entering it as oil will. It's designed to neutralize surface acids to halt marble surface erosion, making this product exceptional in not only cleaning the marble surface but halting the potential for spotting or etching caused by acid spills such as juice, soda and coffee.
